We believe that every Christian is on a life-long journey of faith and requires ongoing nourishment to achieve continuous spiritual growth. Through our Christian Education classes and activities, we establish a foundation for faith in Jesus Christ that will remain in the hearts and minds of our members for their faith journey.  Classes begin in September.

Our Youth

KIC (Kids in Christ) is focused on children in 4th-6th Grade. KIC offers a place for kids to belong and be themselves, and to have fun with other Christian kids and supportive adults. KIC members can let their understanding of God's love have feet through servant opportunities. SEE CALENDAR FOR EVENTS.

Faith INKubators, or FINK. We use the Faith InKubators system to help grow the faith of our younger teens (7th & 8th graders). More than just a traditional confirmation program, it includes not only the study of biblical and Lutheran beliefs prior to partaking in the Eucharist and becoming members of the congregation, but also service and retreat opportunities. The program covers a 2-year period and classes are led by Pastor Pat and lay mentors. See calendar for events.

OGSLY (Olney Good Shepherd Lutheran Youth) is intended for high school age students. OGSLY leaders and teen members have designed a roster of activities that will encourage spiritual and social growth as the teens move toward adulthood. In addition to the social activities, these teenagers participate in retreats, servant events in Appalachia and community service projects. Members are encouraged to bring friends to attend many of the activities.  See calendar for monthly events.

Christian Education for Pre-School to Grade 6. Every Sunday morning educational enrichment is available for children ages 3 through grade 6. Crafts, music and lessons each week.

Vacation Bible School START THE SUMMER with a week of singing, playing and a Journey Through the Desert June 18-22 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
