Music Ministry |
|
Martin Luther felt that … “next to the Word of God, the noble art of music is the greatest treasure in the world” (from his 1538 Forward to Georg Rhau’s Symphoniae incundae, a collection of chorale motets likely intended for amateur singers.) Lutherans have long enjoyed singing hymns and participating in the liturgy, and the music program at Good Shepherd continues to bring life and vitality to the congregation’s traditional and contemporary worship services. Our music ministry seeks to glorify God through celebration in worship, education through choir training and special events, and proclamation by outreach to the community. Music is used within the church service to heighten the worship experience and contribute to spiritual awareness. All members & youth are encouraged to participate. |
