Why Good Shepherd is Different?

The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd offers  you an opportunity for Personal and Spiritual Growth. Our relationship with God through Jesus is strengthened through Word, Sacrament, Prayer and daily scripture readings to help each individual face each new day with strength from Jesus.

Personal Growth-Members SHAPE their ministry, using Spiritual Gifts-Heart (passion and interests); Abilities (born talents); Personality (introvert/extrovert); and Experiences (family/educational, vocational, spiritual, joyful, painful). We use our unique SHAPE to serve others for Christ as our personal savior.

Serving our community. Outreach evangelism includes local, national and international missions providing food and assistance to people in need around the world. See Helping Others Page.

Music Ministry enhances our Worship by engaging our congregation in lifting Praises to our Lord.

Education & Spiritual Growth—We believe that every Christian is on a life-long journey that requires ongoing nourishment  to achieve continuous spiritual growth. Through our Christian education classes and activities, we establish a foundation for faith in Jesus Christ that will remain in the hears and minds of our students for their life journey available for children in Kindergarten through 12th Grade, Vacation Bible School, Adult Bible Studies for Men, Women and Mom’s of pre-schoolers.

Fellowship—St. Paul reminds us that “you are members of God’s very own family...and you belong to God’s household with every other Christian.” Eph 2:19. At Good Shepherd we encourage everyone acquainted with the church to develop and sustain ongoing friendships with  Game Nights, Scrapbooking and outdoor activities: See Care Groups Page for detailed information.
