Bible Studies

We believe that every Christian is on a life-long journey and requires ongoing nourishment to achieve continuous spiritual growth. Through our Christian Education classes and activities, we establish a foundation for faith in Jesus Christ that will remain in the hearts and minds of our students for their life journey.

ADULT BIBLE STUDY (Sunday Morning)

All adults are welcome to join in on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. in Room 104A. Bring your concerns and your questions.  It’s never too late to learn, sprout, grow, bloom and bear fruit! 


ADULT MID-WEEK BIBLE STUDY (Monday Evening)

All adults are welcome to attend Mid-week Bible Study that meets on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. in room 104A
(LifeLight Bible study course is covered to keep even the most time challenged of us and to keep us regularly in God’s Word, the lessons are formatted to be done over 5 days. Class time is spent sharing answers in guided discussion.)


MENS BIBLE STUDY (First Saturday of Month)

This Men’s Prayer Group is open to all the men of the congregation. They are welcome and encouraged to attend this monthly Prayer meeting that includes breakfast at 7:30 a.m. on the first Saturday of the month.  A combination of prayer, fellowship and discussion about their faith and incorporating it into their role as men in the church family and society. The group is involved in various annual projects, like a Retreat, Servant Event and  Journey Through Bethlehem. Next scheduled meeting, Saturday, February 4 at Good Shepherd for breakfast and fellowship.

LADIES BIBLE STUDY Room 104

This ladies Bible Study is meeting at Panera Bread in Olney on the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of Jan., Feb. and March beginning on 1-10-2012, the topic of discussion will be Philippians (for free study guide, click on the following link: http://www.free-online-bible-study.com/support-files/philippians-1w.pdf

.NEW MEMBER CLASSES (As needed)

These classes are formed periodically, as frequent guests seek membership into Good Shepherd and existing members may attend to review the six chief parts of Luther’s Catechism and Good Shepherd’s purpose-driven ministry. Call the church office at 301-774-9125.
